Space.com reports in article, "Huge Solar Eruption Sparks Largest Radiation Storm in 7 Years," will arrive Jan 24th at about 9 am EST. The flare classified as M9 class, is medium-sized. A Spaceweather.com list shows classes. The burst of electromagnetic energy is termed a Coronal mass ejection (CME), by the time it reaches the Earth's magnetosphere. Polar flights have been rerouted but International Space Station (ISS) not considered in danger, reports article. The solar storm is heading into regions mostly north of Earth.
