Iran Computers Hit By New Malware: Meet Flame!

Wired Threat Level introduces newest computer malware: "Flame". "Kaspersky [Lab] discovered the malware about two weeks ago after the United Nations’ International Telecommunications Union asked the Lab to look into reports in April that computers belonging to the Iranian Oil Ministry and the Iranian National Oil Company had been hit with malware that was stealing and deleting information from the systems," reveals article.  The inevitable tendency is to compare to Stuxnet and DuQu previous malware that likewise attacked Iran computer networks.

Threat Level compares similarities and differences of Stuxnet and DuQu to Flame:

"Stuxnet and DuQu were made of compact and efficient code that was pared down to its essentials. Flame is 20 megabytes in size, compared to Stuxnet’s 500 kilobytes, and contains a lot of components that are not used by the code by default, but appear to be there to provide the attackers with options to turn on post-installation. 'It was obvious DuQu was from the same source as Stuxnet. But no matter how much we looked for similarities [in Flame], there are zero similarities,' [ chief security expert at Kaspersky Lab, Alexander] Gostev said. “Everything is completely different, with the exception of two specific things.”

"One of these is an interesting export function in both Stuxnet and Flame, which may turn out to link the two pieces of malware upon further analysis, Gostev said. The export function allows the malware to be executed on the system. Also, like Stuxnet, Flame has the ability to spread by infecting USB sticks using the autorun and .lnk vulnerabilities that Stuxnet used. It also uses the same print spooler vulnerability that Stuxnet used to spread to computers on a local network. This suggests that the authors of Flame may have had access to the same menu of exploits that the creators of Stuxnet used."

Threat Level implies current computer worm, Flame is another large project that requires state backing: "a massive, highly sophisticated piece of malware has been newly found infecting systems in Iran and elsewhere and is believed to be part of a well-coordinated, ongoing, state-run cyberespionage operation."

FBI Secretly Creates Internet Police

RT reports FBI wants own e-spy capabilities. The FBI announces, as a result, new Domestic Communications Assistance Center (DCAC) in Quantico, VA to fulfill ambitions and keep up with the Jones', i.e., the NSA after recent unveiling of Utah Data Center. There is little known about the DCAC other than goal to wiretap internet and wireless communications. The establishment of spy centers also reflects exponential growth in paranoia among ruling elite!

Bruce Gernon Story: Shortcut to Miami Beach Via Local Warp

Bruce Gernon Jr., a young pilot at the time,  Dec. 4 , 1970 on a familiar route from Andros Island, Bahamas to South Florida, had an unexplainable short trip that would lead to decades of searching to understand!  Gernon describes the fateful trip:

"It was shortly after takeoff when I noticed an elliptical cloud directly in front of us about a mile away, hovering only about 500 feet above the ocean. It was a typical lenticular cloud, but I had never seen one that low...the lenticular cloud quickly changed into a huge cumulus cloud. We were climbing at 1,000 feet per minute, and the cloud seemed to be building up at the same rate. Unexpectedly, it caught up and engulfed the Bonanza [Beechcraft airplane]. After 10 minutes of climbing in and out of this cloud, the airplane finally broke free at 11,500 feet and the sky was clear. I leveled the Bonanza off and accelerated to its maximum safe cruising speed of 195 miles per hour. When I looked back at the cloud...It now looked like an immense squall, abnormally shaped in the form of a giant semicircle extending around us..."

"Soon we noticed another cloud building directly in front of us, near the Bimini Islands. It looked a great deal like the cloud that we had just left...Upon entering the cloud we witnessed an uncanny spectacle. It became dark and black, without rain, and visibility was about four or five miles. There were no lightning bolts, only extraordinarily bright white flashes that would illuminate the entire surrounding area. The deeper we penetrated, the more intense the flashes became, so we made a 135-degree turn to the left and headed due south out of the cloud."

"...it became apparent that the cloud near Andros and the cloud near Bimini were actually opposite sides of the same ring-shaped body...This seemed impossible, but there was no other explanation... ...later, I noticed a large U-shaped opening on the west side of the doughnut cloud. I had no choice but to turn and try to exit through the opening. As we approached, we watched the top ends of the U-gap join, forming a hole. The break in the cloud now formed a perfect horizontal tunnel, one mile wide and more than 10 miles long. We could see the clear blue sky on the other side. We also saw that the tunnel was rapidly shrinking. I increased the engine RPM, bringing our speed to the caution area of 230 miles per hour. When we entered the tunnel, its diameter had narrowed to only 200 feet....It appeared to be only a mile long instead of ten-plus as I had originally estimated. Light from the afternoon sun shone through the exit hole and made the silky white walls glow. The walls were perfectly round and slowly constricting. All around the edges were small puffs of clouds of a contrasting gray, swirling counterclockwise around the airplane. We were in the tunnel for only 20 seconds before we emerged from the other end. For about five seconds I had the strange feeling of weightlessness and an increased forward momentum. When I looked back, I gasped to see the tunnel walls collapse and form a slit that slowly rotated clockwise..."

"Something bizarre had happened. Instead of the blue sky we expected, everything was a dull, grayish white haze. Visibility seemed like more than two miles, yet we could not see the ocean, the horizon, or the sky. The air was very stable and there was no lightning or rain. I like to refer to this as an “electronic fog;” because it seemed to be what was interfering with our instruments... We were in the electronic fog for three minutes when the controller radioed that he had identified an airplane directly over Miami Beach, flying due west... We could not yet have reached Miami Beach— we should have been approaching the Bimini Islands... Suddenly the fog started breaking apart, in a weird sort of electronic fashion. Long horizontal lines appeared in the fog on either side of us. The lines widened into slits about four or five miles long. We saw blue sky through them. The slits continued expanding and joined together. Within eight seconds, all the slits had joined, and the gray fog had disappeared. All I could see was brilliant blue sky as my pupils adjusted to the abrupt increase in brightness. Then, I saw the barrier island of Miami Beach directly below."

"After we landed at Palm Beach I realized that the flight had taken a little less than 47 minutes...I had never made it from Andros to Palm Beach in less than 75 minutes, even on a direct route. Our course on this flight was quite indirect and probably covered close to 250 miles. How could the airplane travel 250 miles in 47 minutes? We taxied to customs, ending the fortuitous flight. We didn't talk about it for a long time."

Gernon has come up with an explanation, shared in a 2005 book "The Fog." BermudaTriangleFog.com contends, "Gernon is the only one to see this from its birth stage through its mature stage and enter the heart of the Timestorm and escape through a Tunnel Vortex and experience a time warp of 30 minutes forward in time and 100 miles forward in space."  A Powerpoint presentation is available at the website.

It's an interesting read, and afterwards, the Bermuda Triangle may seem a little less mysterious?  A 2006 interview of Gernon and co-author Rob MacGregor is available here.  Also, an excerpt from a documentary about the 1970 flight follows below. Is the Bermuda Triangle, an area with less magnetic resistance to outside forces such as the solar wind or solar flares?  Do these outside intrusions lead to unusual electrical storms such as Gernon's electronic fog?

Chinese companies, and companies from other nations, are selling bogus electronics parts to the U.S. military, which could down helicopters, planes, even missiles. How much more dangerous does it get? That's sabotage, isn't it? Good grief, and I thought the cheap Chinese goods at Walmart were bad.

North Korea: The Real Threat to US

Gordon Duff, Senior Editor of Veteran's Today, in an opinion piece from April 26th after UFO Sighting over Seoul (video), believes UFO is not a fake, as other sources assert, but one of two counter- intelligence platforms (flying saucers) based on the Korean peninsula. Duff suspects, despite official dismissals of authenticity, "these had a whiff of truth...to them...Veterans Today decided to turn to a top intelligence resource and see whether we were dealing with goose or gander...There was that smell of reality here, one we don’t always see...Thus, we had the forensic labs of the SACIA (South Africa Counter Intelligence Agency), the world’s top authority on certification of photographic data, diamond, mineral and currency authenticity, a somewhat controversial organization, quasi-governmental in nature, submit the video for detailed forensic analysis."

"Why would we choose experts on counter-terrorism, conflict diamonds and narcotics trafficking instead of a local photographer. Our answer was simple, we knew they had one of the most advanced labs in the world and, best of all, they volunteered.  You can’t beat that. The video is genuine, totally.  This is a slightly enlarged version [video]..."

 "We then went to intelligence sources in Korea.  There we learned an astounding story which we are not able to fully confirm.  The aircraft, one that appears to be a 'flying saucer,' is one of two American reconnaissance vehicles stationed on the Korean peninsula by the United States [April 14th]...the United States is operating two vehicles using unknown technology as reconnaissance platforms in order to 'monitor' North Korea."

"[April 26th] Most likely, a short time ago, the US destroyed a North Korean experimental weapon on the launch pad, using one of our own, a craft capable of inter-planetary travel and, thusly, one that is 'just our imagination' like the hundreds of thousands of tons of vaporized steel from the World Trade Center on 9/11."

"[April 14th] There are also suspicious 'Malthusian' motives, fears that free energy would lead to an explosion in population or, worse yet, an explosion in real democracy.." Duff makes clear opinion, our present economy is being deprived of suppressed tech until every last cent can be squeezed from petroleum!

Also, Duff believes North Korea to be far more dangerous than advertised as a leader in bio-weapons field, genetics research and isolated for good reason. The Senior Editor believes they have an army complemented with Super Soldiers as one picture shows ten foot tall man in military garb at Kim's funeral, last year.

The real threat according to Duff, is possibly, North Korean bio-weapons not their nuclear technology, aided for decades by Russia and China.   Another aspect of North Korean threat is their megalomania, "they really believe they are meant to be the only race destined to survive, a race of supermen,"  concludes Duff.

These Veteran's Today articles may seem out there, but the present writer suspects, Duff is closer to truth than most Americans would concede.  It should be considered we downed the North Korean rocket in a countermeasure completed by covert platform (flying saucer) to keep nuclear threat in check.  Duff believes, overlooked at the same time, is far more sinister risk of bio-weapons!

Star Wreck: In The Pirkinning

A highly entertaining low budget movie, Star Wreck: In the Pirkinning, is a surprise! Viewer expectations for a movie that parodies another are frankly low. SW succeeds, however, with cheap humor, a plot and computer graphics. You get the idea if you think of a Finnish Space Balls. The production saga makes for an interesting backdrop: "The 'prime mover' of the production was Samuli Torssonen. In the early 1990s, he produced short animated humorous Star Trek inspired fan films under the collective title Star Wreck. It was planned to be a fifteen-minute live-action special effects heavy film, containing the basic plot elements of In the Pirkinning: Pirk acquiring a ship and then a fleet, a quick transport to a Babylon 5-esque world, where the Trek-inspired P-fleet ships would have a huge battle with Babylon 5-inspired ships...For the next several years, to an outside observer, In the Pirkinning was continually 'almost finished, to be released within next six months'. Eventually, it took seven years from the first conception of the movie to its release, most of that time being taken by the huge time it took to render all the computer-generated imagery that formed all of the special effects as well as the virtual sets for all non-location scenes. For most part of the production, the studio was a converted two-room apartment: one room featured the blue screen and most of the computers and other equipment involved in the shooting, and the kitchen contained the render farm. A closet was used for dubbing."


You have to hand it to Torsonnen and director Timo Vuorensola for their ingenuity. The special effects and graphics are surprising! A viewer will be at home with humor that doesn't seem foreign. Hats off to Torsonnen and Vuorensola who pair again for another seven year effort to produce: Iron Sky. There is presently a fight for screen dates in the UK, and appears, distributors are caving to demand. This production team is a threat to the bigger players!
