Moon and Mars Rising Together After Sunset
Spaceweather.com invites you to go outside after sunset and peer to the east. The Moon and Mars are at closest proximity for 2012. "The Red Planet is easy to find: On March 7th it's right beside the full Moon. Go outside after sunset and look for the Moon and Mars rising together in the east," instructs the website. The view should look similar to an image captured by Luigi Florentino (pictured) in the past few days in Italy. You can view other recent images of the Moon and Mars submitted by other sky watchers at Spaceweather.com.
