1976 secret apollo space mission to far side of moon

In 2007, videos appeared on You Tube that claimed to be images from secret Apollo XX mission to the far side of the Moon. Images include a well-preserved female astronaut recovered from a relic alien spacecraft estimated at one and a half billion years old. Ground Zero Live host Clyde Lewis discusses alleged mission with producer Olav Phillips, who finds it to be "an expensive one" - if a hoax. Phillips sees just enough credibility in story to make a good mystery or conspiracy! A 2007 UFO Data magazine article, "Apollo 20 Controversy," provides an excellent recap.

"Apollo 20 launched on August 16th, 1976, from Vandenberg Air Force base in California and carried a mixed American-Soviet crew. These were Mission Commander William Rutledge, Command Module Pilot, Leona Snyder, and Lunar Module Pilot, Aleksei Leonov..."

"... When they landed on the Moon, they saw a deserted and ruined city, ‘full of scrap’, as Rutledge put it. He and Leonov entered the derelict spaceship and also a triangular one nearby...The craft was pitted with craters and other damage. Inside, they found evidence of plant-life and ‘triangular rocks [that] emitted “tears” of a yellow liquid which has some special medical properties’...They also found alien bodies. The remains of small creatures, about 10 cm long, were found in glass tubes that ran the length of the ship and two ‘full-size’ aliens were found. Unbelievably, he claimed that one of them, a female, was still alive and returned to Earth!"

Luca Scantamburlo, a journalist, interviewed Commander Rutledge available on his website. Rutledge's last known residence in Rwanda suggests to Phillips a CIA operative. A caller to Lewis' program witnessed launch of a Saturn V rocket in the seventies from Vandenberg AFB. Saturn V rockets were used in the Apollo program. The present writer leans towards a disinfo campaign or a psyop, conceding to Phillips much effort invested in videos. It's a great mystery and still entertaining even if hoaxed!

darpa to award 100yr starship seed money on 11/11/11

Why not spend your free time designing interstellar spacecraft? Andreas Tziolas, director of Project Icarus, believes your hobby could help us get to the next star. DARPA plans to award "some organization roughly $500,000 in seed money to begin studying what it would take - organizationally, technically, sociologically and ethically - to send humans to another star, a challenge of such magnitude that the study alone could take a hundred years," according to the article, "Next stop Alpha Centauri," at CHINADAILY.com.cn .

"The awarding of that grant, on November 11 - 11/11/11 - is planned as the culmination of a yearlong Darpa-NASA effort called the 100-Year Starship Study, which will include a three-day public symposium in Orlando, Florida, starting on September 30 on the why's and how's of interstellar travel." The present writer would only ask readers why award grant on Nov. 11, 2011? This can't be worshipful occult number significance - only a coincidence!

retro-weekend drive-in: disney's 1955 'man in space'

Walt Disney helped sell American public on Space. Man in Space, first of a three-part series in the fifties, proved popular and possibly for its pyrotechnics and inclusion of a multitude of rocket firings! You'll like this film if you like fireworks! The V-2 rocket and WAC Corporal, two early successful rockets, are covered. "The first episode Man in Space originally aired March 9, 1955. Running at about 51 minutes, it was mostly narrated by actor Dick Tufield (who ironically would later be best known as the voice of the Robot on the TV series Lost in Space). Also joining in was [producer Ward] Kimball and such famed scientists as Dr. Willy Ley, Dr. Heinz Haber, and of course Dr. Wernher Von Braun. With a combination of documentary footage and animation, the show took a lighthearted look at rocket history, satellites, and what spacemen would have to face traveling in a rocket. Man in Space was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Documentary Short." A younger audience can get an idea of predominance of German scientists (Operation Paperclip) in the American space program by taking in this show. The present writer grew up with the strong association of a German accent with scientific acumen. Please take in show from a relatively innocent time when prospects of space seemed limitless.

project blue book: 1952 - 1969

What the heck were all the UFO sightings in the forties and fifties about? The US Air Force made three successive inquiries into sightings during the period.  Project Sign was the first formal inquiry, investigative work began on January 22, 1948. Gen. Nathan Twining initiated the project at Wright Patterson AFB, where all official public UFO investigations were based. The project was known to the public as "Project Saucer", Sign leaned in favor of the Extraterrestrial hypothesis. Wikipedia's Project Blue Book entry reports, "Sign's initial intelligence estimate (the so-called Estimate of the Situation) written in the late summer of 1948, concluded that the flying saucers were real craft, were not made by either the Russians or US, and were likely extraterrestrial in origin. This estimate was forwarded to the Pentagon, but subsequently ordered destroyed by Gen. Hoyt Vandenberg, USAF Chief of Staff, citing a lack of physical proof. Vandenberg subsequently dismantled Project Sign."

Project Grudge succeeded Project Sign in February, 1949. Captain Edward J. Ruppelt (pictured), who was the first head of Project Blue Book, referred to the Grudge Era as "dark ages" of early Air Force UFO investigations. "Everything was being evaluated on the premise that UFOs couldn't exist," according to Wikipedia's Grudge entry.

Project Blue Book, named after blue books used in university finals, succeeded Project Grudge once it was dissolved under pressure from Maj.General Charles P. Cabell. A comprehensive and well-written article at the Museum of Unnatural Mystery, "Project Blue Book: The UFOs Verses the Flying Saucers," describes Cabell's fury when he learned of Grudge's mandate to debunk UFOs, and specifically, when [Project Grudge] investigator Lt. Gerry Cummings told him, "...any UFO sighting examined by the project was taken as a huge joke". Cabell, head of Air Force Intelligence at the Pentagon, thought UFOs deserved serious study and pressured for change, especially, after a number of saucers sighted in September, 1951 in the Monmouth, NJ area.

Ruppelt created the term Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs) to provide a more scientific label for study. "The results of this study (which were detailed in Project Blue Book Special Report No. 14) [pictured]...Twenty-two percent of all [3200] reports were listed as "unknown." Strangely enough, the better the information that was available about a case, the more likely it was to be placed in the unknown category. This is exactly the opposite of what the skeptics had expected."

In 1952, the Washington DC UFO sightings resulted in the Robertson Panel.  The committee concluded, "the only threat to national security posed by UFOs, the panel concluded, was that the many erroneous reports coming in from the public might overwhelm the Pentagon's communication channels...For this reason the panel recommended that the government start a public relations campaign designed to 'debunk' UFOs and remove the 'aura of mystery' from them to reduce public interest." A disappointed Ruppelt left Project Blue Book in 1953 as a result of the committee's debunking recommendation.

Project Blue Book lingered on and saw only brief periods of serious investigation in subsequent years after Ruppelt's departure. The 1966 Condon Report, headed by physicist Edward U Condon, recommended Blue Book be shut down. The project was terminated in 1969.  UFOs were, according to Project Blue Book's official conclusions, either result of misidentifying a known object, a form of mass hysteria, deranged individuals and hoaxes. dutchsinse 2011 experience

Kerry Cassidy interviews Dutchsinse on Project Camelot. Dutchsinse aka Michael Janich relates how he began following HAARP rings and scalar squares on radar screens.  Janich noticed anomalies in January of this year, at the time, of the birds falling from sky in Arkansas. Janich became a full time student after the bird die off and saw clearly in March the trouble in store for Japan. Dutchsinse has a multitude of detractors, but anyone can learn something about weather manipulation from Dutchsinse videos. The interview reveals, also, Dutch's theory about Fukushima nuclear fallout.  The nuclear material will decay into Barium and Strontium, which provides medium for an apparent Project Blue Beam fake alien invasion!

internet buzz: doubts about darpa falcon htv-2 crash

Did the joint DARPA and US Air Force-backed  HTV-2 (HyperTechnologyVehicle-2), crash into the Pacific as widely reported? Brooks Agnew interviewed Kevin Smith on X-squared radio recently. Smith suggests only telemetry was lost after nine minutes, switching to a secure channel to send a message. The test flight demonstrates, in Smith's opinion, a vehicle capable of Mach 20 (13,000 mph) or 3.5 to 4 miles per second, which implies an ability to strike anywhere on Earth in about an hour! DARPA shut down the show once sufficient global strike capacity was demonstrated to the world, according to Smith. The host of the Kevin Smith Show believes the hypersonic plane is capable of much higher speeds! Alex Jones suggests during a recent interview with Bob Bowman, the HTV-2 is reported lost to make opportunities for launches. Jones sees a possible deception to allow placing more weapons platforms into space. Jones points out "reported top speed" is not necessarily real speed!

Freeman interviews Carolyn Rose Goyda, a former McDonnell Douglas employee, who also harbors doubts about HTV-2 test flight and problems. The computer scientist and engineer states, from experience, hypersonic flight shouldn't be a technical challenge. Goyda sees only reason for flights, she could think of, would be to test new composites? One oddity, Goyda finds strange, is announcement of launch through Twitter! "DARPA doesn't do that!" Is it feigned ineptitude to provide cover for ruthless war preparation?

listening to the sun improves sunspot forecasts

from latimes: Sunspots, those dark regions on the surface of the sun whose high magnetic activity has ripple effects for Earthlings, seem to emerge and fade without warning. But now, by listening to the sounds the sun makes, scientists have managed to predict when a sunspot will appear up to two days beforehand. The findings, published in Friday's edition of the journal Science, could help solar physicists understand how to better predict solar flares and other space weather events that can harm astronauts and damage power and electronics systems on Earth.
