"Microbes Found Preadapted for Life in Space". Scientists surmise microorganisms on Earth, could only have received radiation-resistant genes from space-voyaging ancestors. Research reveals microbes mixed with a little sandstone can survive space, at least, a few years. It's, also estimated, bacteria are capable of surviving with only the protection of a rock in space for a million years. There's life in outer space - if only microbial!
